Fête Française: “Spring Time in April!

Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans is proud to present it’s annual fund-raiser Fête Française: “Spring Time in April!” Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 02. French culture comes to life in NOLA. Be transported to Paris in April where the air will be filled with music, laughter, and tempting aromas. This wonderful event features great food, wine, musical performances, arts and crafts.

The high caliber restaurants participating in Fête Française 2011 include: Link Restaurant Group, Patois, Boucherie, M bistro, Martinique, St. James Cheese Shop, Amanda Carvajal, Taceaux Loceaux, Pinkberry, Crepes a la Cart, La Petite Grocery, Crepe Nanou, Nirvana, Welty Deli and the très célèbre Les Deux Papas - who all will serve their legendary authentic savory mussels and pommes frites.

To quench your thirst, Lillet will feature it’s specialty drink “Joie de Vivre,” and this year we are pleased to have Kronenbourg as our official beer for Fête Française.

Fête-goers will enjoy great music from fabulous local musicians including Marie & Jacques Letalon (Jazz/French), Panorama Jazz Band, Sunpie & the Louisiana Sunspots (Zydeco), Ingrid Lucia (Swing/Jazz), Charmaine Neville (R&B/Jazz) and Tit Canaille (Cajun).

There will be plenty of children’s games and activities, face painting, a rock-climbing wall and much, much more. Fête Française will also have a market place, silent auction, works from many local area artists and a raffle that is sure to delight one lucky winner.

Fête Française is Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans largest annual fundraiser and is critical to providing supplemental funds to support extracurricular activities as well as preserving the Francophone heritage in New Orleans and Louisiana.
