Taste at the Lake Wine and Food Event Debuts in Lakeview


The Lakeview Civic Improvement Association (LCIA), in partnership with WGNO ABC26, THIS TV and NOLA38, is hosting the first Taste at the Lake, a premier event featuring an assortment of fine restaurants and lively libations, on March 26 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm in front of Lakeview Grocery located at 801 Harrison Avenue. Presenting sponsors of the event include Iberia Bank and Banner Chevrolet.


Taste at the Lake will present an attractive array of dishes from more than 25 different restaurants from the Greater New Orleans area including Andrea’s Restaurant, City Park Caterers, Cochon Butcher, Copeland’s Restaurant, Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro, Deanie’s Seafood, EcoCafe, Galatoire’s, Jacques Imo, Koz’s Lakeview, La Madeleine, Lakeview Harbor, Harrison Cove, LeForet, Madrid, Mike’s On The Avenue, Mondo, Oceana Grill, Pigeon Caterers, Redemption, Reginelli’s, Sara’s, Saundus Sauce, 7 on Fulton, Steamboat NATCHEZ, The Fit Gourmet, The Steak Knife, Vincent’s, Voodoo BBQ, WGNO’s “In the Kitchen with Uncle Larry” and Zea Rotisserie & Grill (as of March 10).

Snowballs from NOLA Snow Snoballs, flavored vodka for the snowballs provided by Republic National Distributing Company, coffee from Starbucks, beer from The Bulldog in Mid City and Southern Eagle-Budweiser, wine provided by Neat Wines, Vino Wholesalers and Partners Wine Group, bottled water from Dixie Springs Water and lemonade from Who Dat Lemonade will help patrons clean their palates as they move from booth to booth sampling chargrilled oysters, shrimp and tasso pasta, alligator ravioli with sauce piquant, lemon grass crab bisque, red fish pate, crawfish boulette and much more.

To add to the culinary thrill, the Desoto Street Band will entertain guests with their blues and cover music while celebrity hosts announce the lucky winners of some exciting door prizes. LCIA will be selling a poster for the event for $20 designed by New Orleans artist, Bunny Matthews.

Tickets are on sale for $40 in advance and $50 at the event. They can be purchased online athttp://www.tasteatthelake.com/www.wgno.comwww.wnol.com or in-person at the Lakeview Branch of Gulf Coast Bank. Proceeds will benefit LCIA projects that help to restore and maintain Lakeview.
