Cliff Dodge and his grandson, Robert Brown, were nearing the Jonesville Locks and Dam Monday afternoon. They were about 15 miles south of Jonesville.
They had hoped to reach the Red River Monday night, but decided to spend the evening near the locks and try to reach the Red late Tuesday.
