Volunteer organizes trips to help rebuild New Orleans

Thousands of young Lutherans have gathered in New Orleans for the largest convention the city has seen since Hurricane Katrina.

About 37,000 teenagers, leaders and chaperones are attending the three-day youth conference of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, enough to fill more than 70 hotels and to need 300 buses to get them around the city, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.
