"Art for the Wetlands Tour: New Orleans" a unique look at two New Orleans artists' response to Louisiana's diminishing wetlands.

On Friday, October 23rd, at 5pm, we'll start at the evening performance of Mondo Bizarro's "Loup Garou".

Local award-winning performance innovators ArtSpot Productions and Mondo Bizarro, in collaboration with the Gulf Restoration Network and New Orleans City Park, present Loup Garou, a new environmental performance that uses rigorous physicality, poetry, music and visual installation to investigate the deep interconnectedness between land and culture in Louisiana.

And immediately following the performance and talk, we will take the group to the closing reception of Heidi Domangue's 3D Bayou Battle at the CANARY GALLERY, at 329 Julia St

Heidi has been matching color palettes, and using color theory to explore deeper the true successes of painting to achieve the 3-Dimensional print. She has been painting these new creations wearing 3D glasses, and viewers are able to view her prints the same way she creates them. Heidi's inspiration for this show is a humorous take on our diminishing wetlands, as she puts it, "as Louisiana's wetlands are diminishing, so is the habitat of the Pelican and the Nutria. Thus a war has broken out over which animal, will seize control of their shrinking home"
