With the clock ticking down to his May 3 inauguration, Mayor-elect Mitch Landrieu will host a meeting Thursday afternoon to solicit policy recommendations from the public and to receive the preliminary reports of17 citizen task forces set up to offer advice on issues from choosing a new police chief to eradicating blight.
The public event, dubbed "One Voice. One Mission. -- Presenting a Vision for the Future" will be held Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre for the Performing Arts, 801 N. Rampart St.
