In Post Katrina
New Orleans, we’ve seen a rise in the importance of understanding local
government and citizens asking for engagement. New Orleanians are searching for venues to
share their ideas with elected officials.
New Orleans citizen, Zach Kupperman created a program that gives citizens
an opportunity to know what’s going on in their state in everyday language, as
well as pitch ideas that would benefit their communities. He created a new website called Policy Pitch.
