Re-Fest

Come one and all to ReFest, the all-day kick-off for The ReUse District on Saturday May 15th.ReFest is a day filled with creative workshops, live music, film, and a pub crawl-- all centered around reuse. ReFest is free and the workshops are for all ages-- but not so much the pub crawl later in the night...

The Green Project is spearheading The ReUse District, and 23 reuse organizations in the 7th Ward, Bywater, Marigny, St. Claude, and St. Roch neighborhoods have joined the initiative. We are the first reuse district in the country.

The morning and afternoon of ReFest will be filled with workshops with The Green Project, Trouser HouseR.U.B.A.R.B,Beth's Books, Rebuild Source, and Dr. Bob Art. Later on we will be having a film screening and panel discussion on The Story of Stuff with Charitable Film Network.

Our evening events are hoppin'. Come hear Jon Cleary andMohican Scouts perform at the ReFest concert. And don't forget to bring your reusable cup to Hi-Ho Lounge, Mimi's in the Maringy, The Mother-In-Law Lounge, and Saturn Bar and receive incredible drink specials.
