Cleaning Concierge
My husband and I started CC about 10 months ago. We are a full service green cleaning company that offers a wide array of services from Residential Cleaning to Construction Clean Up. We also have a recycle pick up service.
It’s pretty funny how we got started. My husband decided to clean our house one day as a birthday gift to me. (Great gift huh? where were those diamonds I've been asking for lol) Since I'm usually the one cleaning the house he didn't realize how hard it really was. So, after he finished (the house looked great FYI) and we were sitting down for dinner he started to complain about how the Cleaning products were irritating his eyes and how he had to open the windows and all that jazz... He said wouldn't it be great to just have a cleaning company that uses products that didn't irritate your eyes and make you sick? I said yes and this is when the research began. We saw a need for healthy Eco friendly cleaning services for both residential and commercial clients. We also were shocked at how harmful traditional cleaning products were. The chemicals they put in those things are shocking. I think if people actually took the time to read and research those chemicals everyone would go green!
New Orleans Natives
We are both proud New Orleans Natives. We have been here all our life and don't plan on leaving. This is why it is so important for us to have this company and educate New Orleans. Our city is so unique and beautiful and its time we make a change. As we become more aware of our impact on the environment, we will demand change in the way we presently conduct our lives and business. We live down the river from “cancer ally" and have countless numbers of chemical compound and toxins that we come in contact with on a daily basis. If we can limit , from a cleaning aspect, the number of toxins and chemical compounds we come in contact with that's just one great step for us!
New Orleans Needs Change
A lot of people think going green is hard and it’s expensive or they just don't feel the need to change. Well the thing is it's not hard, it’s not expensive and we do need to change. It’s as simple as making your own window cleaner with Vinegar and water or replacing your air fresheners with essential oils. Just take the steps to actually move in that direction one step at a time.
What’s Next
What’s next for our company? What a great question! Cleaning Concierge will be the leading green cleaning company in the metro area. We will work to educate the public about the benefits, costs and reasons to go green. We plan on taking over. :-)
As far as why we love New Orleans... Well, New Orleans is home. We have been blessed to travel all around the U.S and Europe and I can tell you... ain't no place like home. New Orleans has a soul and spirit that is infectious. People come from all around the world to our city! They want our food, our music... That's pretty big.
