While the Playbill may list her as Jacqueline Grabois, she simply prefers to be called Jackie. Or maybe we should just call her Kate Monster or Lucy The Slut. That's who leading lady Grabois plays in "Avenue Q," the homage to Sesame Street with a decided adult edge. Grabois' lovely voice certainly towers above the puppet characters she portrays in the Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx musical. With songs like "It Sucks to Be Me," "The Internet is for Porn," "If You Were Gay," and "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist," the musical examines the gritty life of living in New York where puppets and adults struggle to live and love together, trying to cope with all manner of modern conflict.
