Plans were unfolding Wednesday night for a new Broadway production in New Orleans.
"Lawdy Miss Clawdy -- The Musical" is the life story of local music legend Lloyd Price and the true origin of rock and roll.
It was the sound created in the petri dish of funk and cultivated by legendary bandmaster and composer Dave Bartholomew.
It was Bartholomew who discovered the incomparable Fats Domino.
