It’s that time of year again, Broadway is here. The first show of 2010-11 season of Broadway Across American to New Orleans begins this month! Cirque Dreams Illumination will perform eight shows at the Mahalia Jackson Theater. This cirque production was founded in 1993 and was the first American company combining Cirque style performance with American circus and Broadway. So prepare yourself for stunts, acrobatics and much more. Tickets start at $25 and the show runs September 28th through October 3rd. To help celebrate the return of Broadway Across America, Cirque Dreams Illustration will offer a local musician a chance to perform live on stage with the national tour. The winner will train with Cirque Dreams and receive six complimentary tickets to shows in which they appear. The audition will take place Saturday, September 18th from 11:00am through 2:00pm at the Mahalia Jackson Theater. Auditions are open to performers of all ages and limited to first 100 attendees.
