Mayor Landrieu Joins Obama Administration In Announcing Pilot Program To Address Domestic Violence

Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu joined President Barak Obama and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House, where the Obama Administration and the Department of Justice announced the launch of Access to Justice for Domestic Violence Victims, a pilot project to encourage more commitment from private attorneys to provide pro bono legal services to victims of domestic violence.  The announcement was made in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, highlighting the Administration’s unprecedented government-wide, coordinated effort to combat violence against women.
