It's time for one of my favorite times of the year....it's so important it gets its on season, Celebration in the Oaks Season. In its 23rd year get ready to enjoy the beautiful city park and Botanical Gardens all decked out for the holidays. The lights display will put you in the holiday mood and have you singing Christmas music all the way home.
So many activities will be available at Celebration in the Oaks. Kids and adults alike will get a chance to visit the amusement park; have a little fun with the bumper cars and enjoy the beautiful antique carousel of New Orleans. Each night in city park will include a whole new class of entertainment from cloggers to orchestras. Santa Claus will take time out of his busy schedule to be on site to take pictures with the wonderful children of New Orleans. After, stop by the Christmas Cafe for a yummy cup of hot chocolate; I know I will! Also, you will get a chance to visit Storyland and maybe if you are lucky have a little chat with Mother Goose.
What I'm particularly looking forward to is The New Orleans Botanical Garden. There will be millions of lights and special exhibits for me to be in awe of and I can't wait. Don't forget to visit the New Orleans Historic Train Garden with 14,000 square feet display with an assortment of trains and streetcars. The Poinsettia Tree exhibit in the Conservatory is a great way to end your night!
Celebration in the Oaks begins November 26, 2010.
