Former New Orleans Mayor Marc Morial was back in City Hall on Friday morning bearing a gift: An announcement that the National Urban League, the organization he has headed for the last seven years, will host its 2012 national conference in his hometown.
Morial said he expects the event, tentatively scheduled for the last week of July, to attract more than 10,000 visitors and have an economic impact of about $10 million.
