Unique local traditions and budget-friendly rates have landed New Orleans the No. 2 spot on AOL.com's list of the 10 best places in the United States to get into the holiday spirit.
The city "comes alive with glowing lights, festively decked out streetcars, and candlelit caroling," according to the AOL.com story. And visitors can take tours of decorated antebellum homes, see special Christmas theater performances and shop in the French Quarter.New York City made the No. 1 spot on the list.
