LE MERITAGE RESTAURANT CELEBRATES FIFTH ANNUAL FRENCH QUARTER WINE FESTIVAL


Festival Will Feature 14 Wineries and Gourmet Dishes By Chef Michael Farrell

Famed New Orleans restaurant, Le Meritage, Executive Chef Michael Farrell and Area Managing Director/Maison Dupuy Hotel, Morty Valldejuli are pleased to announce the return of French Quarter Wine Festival. The Festival, now in its fifth year, will showcase 14 celebrated wineries from California, Oregon, Washington State, Italy, France and Argentina. The Festival will kick off on March 18 and will feature live entertainment from Rebirth Brass Band and Los Po-Boy-Citos starting at7:00PM. In the event of rain, the French Quarter Wine Festival Block Party will be tented so the party will go on rain or shine!

Started after Hurricane Katrina and modeled after the prestigious Boston Wine Festival, French Quarter Wine Festival brings some of the world’s best winemakers to the Maison Dupuy Hotel, located in the heart of New Orleans. The Festival will feature an opening and closing reception and 14 dinners and receptions hosted by the winemakers and proprietors. Chef Michael Farrell, Executive Chef of Maison Dupuy’s BISTREAUX and Le Meritage Restaurants, will create delectable dinners to accompany each tasting.
