ice President Joe Biden is planning to visit New Orleans on Friday, along with a stop in western Louisiana, probably Lake Charles, congressional sources said Wednesday.
Details are expected to be announced Thursday, but his visit is to include an event at the St. Bernard Recreation Center.
Biden promised last year to visit Louisiana to survey the status of hurricane rebuilding efforts, but said his trip would come after President Barack Obama's visit. Obama came to New Orleans in October, answering questions at a town hall meeting.
