Kora Konnection

Fresh off their smashing inaugural year having performed in 2009 at New Orleans Jazzfest, Festival International, Contemporary Art Center, New Orleans Afrikan Film Festival, Snug Harbor, and New Orleans Healing Center, Kora Konnection kicks off 2010 with a yearlong series of African music, drumming, dance, and culture the second sunday of each month at the French Market, New Orleans.

Kora Konnection has also been invited back in 2010 for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and looks forward to taking part in the New Orleans Afrikan Film Festival,and the International Africans in Wine Festival.

Kora Konnection blends west african mandinka music,with jazz, while the spiritual nature of the music brings together the cultures of west africa and new orleans.
