"Jezebel," the 1938 film classic which was set in New Orleans and featured an Academy Award-winning performance by actress Bette Davis, has been named to the Library of Congress' National Film Registry.
"Jezebel" was one of 25 films to be inducted Wednesday for preservation in the 2009 National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. Other inductees include Michael Jackson's landmark music video "Thriller," Al Pacino's "Dog Day Afternoon," the World War II drama "Mrs. Miniver" and the film which marked the Muppets' big screen debut, "The Muppet Movie."
