The Soulful Sounds of Suave

Story From Minority Weirdos....

This guy Suave has an amazing voice. The first time I saw him, I was blown away by his delivery and I knew from the beginning he is going places!!! Check him out.

One cup of Neo Soul, one cup of Hip-Hop, two tablespoons of old school R & B, two more tablespoons of Funk, and three cups of New Orleans’ unique soul culture. This recipe creates the flavorful, innovative, soulful sounds of Suave. The word Suave can be defined as having debonair charm; smooth with a degree of sophistication. Suave’s style, melody, subject matter, delivery and word play are influenced by various musical styles as well as his eclectic life experiences.

Suave is a well-rounded "artist" and songwriter whose passion for music began at an early age. As an Uptown New Orleans resident and native, music was a huge part of his upbringing. Jazz and Gospel are two well known aspects of the New Orleans music culture, and both are noticeably incorporated into Suave’s unique vibe. He became a regular performer at the age of 10 at many of the city's world-renowned music festivals for crowds exceeding 15,000(New Orleans Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Black Heritage Fest, etc.), and it was on those stages that he developed and nurtured his very attention-grabbing yet personal stage presence. "Suave's voice just makes you want to listen, because it doesn't sound like anything or anybody else on the radio." - Lyfe Jennings

Suave gained major music industry exposure through rapper Juvenile and the UTP/Atlantic Records/Rap-A-Lot Records family (Skip, Wacko, Partners N Crime, Stone and Lac, Ms Tee, etc.) and has performing experience with Gospel artists, Kierra “Kiki” Sheard, Smokie Norful, Juanita Bynum, Kim Jordan, Maurette Brown - Clark, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Craig Adams, CeCe Winans, and John P. Kee just to name a few. Aside from the "raw" talent that Suave posses, he has also received formal musical training at Tennessee State University where he majored in Music Performance and Music Business and Marketing.

Suave is currently in the studio writing for a vast amount of other artists, but still can be found at local open mics "moving the crowd". He is now also working with Unda Dawg Entertainment and his own BFAM (Brothas From Another Mother) Music Group, LLC. to collaborate with numerous well-known producers and artists on his groundbreaking, "trendstopping"(not trend setting) debut solo album entitled "Pain B4 Progress."
